A big thank you for your feedback; our recent Photography Session, and Happy Fathers’ Day

Thank you to all of our subscribers who offered feedback on the recent changes to our website.  We really do appreciate your willingness to take the time to get in touch with us to point out some usability problems that had skipped our attention, some of which were crucial to the proper function of our website.  

With your help we were able to quickly fix most of the problems, although we have a few more items we’re working on at the moment. Sometimes these things take time, we have to ensure that the site works on phones, tablets and desktop PCs, so there’s always lots of testing to do when we make any change.  If you do spot anything that is causing problems for you using our website, please don’t hesitate to let us know and we’ll get on to it right away.  A big thanks also to our expert tech consultant who was working all hours to make sure we were on top of necessary fixes immediately, we are very grateful to you.

This past week we have had a lot of fun with our first ever professional photo shoot.  We booked local photographer Rachael from It’s A Beautiful Life Photography to capture some of our products in stunning local landscapes.  We loved working with Rachael and we know that we’re going to love the results.

We are fortunate to live in such a wonderful, community-minded region, where we were able to book a photographer, borrow accessories from local businesses, beg friends and colleagues to model for us, and lend us clothing and accessories, as well as scout and secure beautiful locations all in under a week!
 
So big thanks go to Eldorado Cottage (insta @eldorado_cottage) for the use of this stunning AirBnb as a location.  Elise not only provides beautifully and thoughtfully appointed accommodation in a spectacular rural landscape, but also the kind of unobtrusive and considerate hospitality that many guests seek when they want to get away from it all to unwind.  She certainly thought of everything we might need for the hours we were there, despite only being given two days’ notice.

Thanks also to the volunteers who run the other two locations we were given access to; the Goulburn Crookwell Heritage Railway and the Crookwell Showground, which are both lovingly maintained, restored and improved, and are exceptional assets for Crookwell and the region.  Thanks on behalf of all of us who enjoy the fruits of your labour.

Finally, we want to express a big thank-you to all of our staff who each contributed something different to make this work.  As always, we could not do without them; they keep us sane and keep the wheels turning and we’re so appreciative of all they do.  

The photographs will be used to give our new and improved website a fresher look in line with our new Heritage, Tablelands and Luxury Collections, and to enable us to offer some of our apparel for sale on our web store.  Until now, our jumpers and some of our scarves have only been available in our Crookwell shop, but keep an eye on our online store as they will be available soon.

Fathers’ Day is sneaking up on us (how on earth is it almost September?!), and we reflect with gratitude on all the things our dads have done for us. Time spent together engaging in favourite activities, words of wisdom, rumbles and wrestles, cheesy jokes, food, money, shelter, support, and unconditional love.  Cheers to all the dads and the sacrifices they have made to give their children what they need to thrive.  

For those of you in the thick of it balancing work, home and young children, we know just how you feel and it is a good time to be reminded of what a wonderful job you are doing - giving of yourself to nurture the next generation.  It is the ultimate pay-it-forward.
