Unlocking our History

When you live and breathe a small business as we do at Lindner Socks, it’s natural to have an intense enthusiasm for the histories of other businesses as well as your own.  I always keenly read the “About Us” or “Our History” pages of websites as I love to see how they have evolved.  

Discovering businesses with long, multi-generational histories, or new and exciting leap-of-faith/following-a-passion success stories are both equally rewarding and inspirational.

Our recent trip to Germany was a journey to a different time and place; to the very roots of our family and our sock-making heritage.  We have met with family members previously unknown and reunited with others after many years apart.

All these treasured connections have shared insights into the past, which are helping us piece together the people, places and events that brought Lindner Socks to where it is today.

The two brothers pictured are central to unlocking our story.  We have a lot of work ahead of us to arrange all that we have seen and heard into an accurate record of “Our History”.  We can’t wait to share it with you…..
